Older Persons Services
The position of Patient Transport Driver attached to Older Persons Services is a key operational role in an organisation committed to achieving and maintaining a standard of excellence for our residents patients service users and staff of Older Persons Services across the Integrated Health Areas of Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Patient Transport Driver to join our dedicated team providing vital transport and inter-facility services to the older population of Dublin North City and County. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the enhanced and expanded services in Older Persons Services; ensuring patients residents and service users are safely and comfortably transported to and from their medical appointments and day services.
By becoming a part of our team you will play an essential role in providing high-quality services to our older population contributing to their health and well-being. You will work within a supportive and dynamic team and be integral to ensuring that every patient resident and service user receives exceptional care and attention.
Older Persons Services are responsible for 101 short stay rehabilitation beds 278 residential beds across 5 Community Nursing Units 6 Day Services 3 Specialist ICPOP teams and a Home Support Service budget of approximately 123.9m. Dublin North City and County is part of Regional Health Area Dublin and North East and is one of the 6 Regional Health areas across the country and is responsible for providing care and services to our geographical population of approximately 674310 (Census 2022).
Dublin North City Mental Health Services (DNCMHS)
DNCMHS provides a predominately community-based specialist mental health service with a catchment population of approximately 362460. The quantum of comprehensive services provided include Acute Mental Health Inpatient Services Regional Psychiatric Intensive Care Services Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Community Residential Services Homeless Mental Health Services Day Hospital Intervention and Day Centre Services. General Adult Psychiatry of Later Life and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are all provided within Dublin North City Mental Health Services.
Dublin North City Mental Health Inpatient services are provided in the Department of Psychiatry - Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown Department of Psychiatry - Mater Misericordiae Hospital Phoenix Care Centre North Circular Rd. Further services are provided in our network of High Medium and Low support Hostels and community residences. Our community services cover the areas of Blanchardstown Cabra Finglas Clontarf Marino Fairview Ballymun and North Inner City.
