Description of employment:

Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond Are you looking for a position in which you can keep things moving and deliver when it matters most If so then you could be the newest addition to our team as an HGV Driver.

You will be responsible for:

• Drive Heavy Goods Vehicle from depot to loading/unloading point in accordance with the delivery schedule

• Delivering chill produce and ambient products to all our customers premises

• Accurately recording all activities in line with legislation and company requirements

• Ensuring all delivery notes are signed upon delivery

• Adhere to road transport regulations

• Working within the remits of the European Drivers Hours regulations

• Working within the remits of the Working Time Directive

• Ensuring all loads are strapped down adequately

• Checking tyres brakes lights oil water and fuel levels and general condition of the vehicle

• Agree delivery schedule and route with transport management

• Assist with loading/unloading and ensures that load is evenly distributed and safely secured

• Maintains records of journey times mileage and hours worked via Tachograph

• Undertake minor repairs and notifies supervisor of any mechanical faults

About you

• Full HGV Class 1 Licence

• Valid Taco Card

• Valid CPC Card

• Must be 25 years

• Good English verbal and written skills

• Excellent customer service skills
