Description2. Core Responsibilities
A. Program Execution & Delivery
- Drive end-to-end execution of designated system programs from charter through engineering validation pilot builds and release.
- Maintain customer deliverable schedules dependencies risk registers and mitigation planning.
- Ensure adherence to disciplined program management processes including phase reviews and documentation control.
- Coordinate system integration activities across hardware firmware/software test mechanical and system resources.
B. Cross-Functional Coordination (SDCT Leadership)
- Serve as the operational leader of the System Delivery Coordination Team (SDCT)
- Drive end-to-end execution of designated system programs from charter through engineering validation pilot builds and release.
- Facilitate alignment across R&D Manufacturing Supply Chain Quality Finance and other partner functions.
- Ensure each function understands deliverables ownership boundaries and SDCT-defined timelines.
- Identify gaps escalate blockers and drive resolution of issues that threaten schedule or delivery.
C. Operational Management & Process Improvement
- Strengthen internal processes for NPI engineering builds manufacturability reviews (DFx) and reliability validation.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Test Engineering to prepare system build lines automation test equipment and capacity planning.
- Partner with Supply Chain to ensure component readiness sourcing progress BOM stability and configuration management.
- Support Quality and Reliability teams by coordinating structured issue triage root cause analysis and closure tracking.
D. Internal Stakeholder Interface
- Support Product Management with internal program information release planning and configuration statuses.
- Provide Sales/FAE teams with internal visibility into program stages and system readiness (internal communication only).
- Coordinate with Finance on budget tracking headcount needs and program cost visibility.
- Ensure cross-functional documentation creation and updates (e.g. engineering specs release packages test results).
E. Reporting & Communication
- Lead SDCT weekly coordination meetings and monthly program reviews.
- Produce clear reporting for leadership including schedules KPIs risks and action status.
- Maintain robust documentation: decisions technical updates functional commitments and issue logs.
3. Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Optics Power Electronics Telecommunications or related field.
Experience
- 15 years in optical modules optical devices subsystems or system engineering programs.
- 5 years of cross-functional program leadership in an engineering or manufacturing organization.
- Experience in system-level integration (optical electrical software mechanical).
- Strong background in structured development processes (IPD phase-gate PDT or equivalent).
- Familiarity with reliability engineering supplier qualification test strategy and manufacturability.
Leadership & Functional Skills
- Ability to manage complex multi-functional technical programs with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
- Competence in risk identification mitigation planning and issue resolution.
- Comfortable working within matrixed engineering and operations teams.
- Capable of building and maintaining process discipline across functions.
