JV Baseball Coach

Mt. BlueHighSchool

JobGoal(s):To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills strategy and physical training

necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same

time the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to socially

acceptable character development self discipline self confidence and pride of

accomplishment in the student athletes.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals strategies and training techniques.
Excellent communication motivation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with young athletes and parents.
Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes.
Build positive relationships motivate players develop discipline and support academic/athletic goals bridging development for the varsity team.

Certifications

Valid CHRC

Performance Responsibilities

Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by theMt. Blue DistrictSchools Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation.

Has knowledge of existing system state and league regulations.

Education

The coach must be at least 20 years of age or a high school graduate.

Experience

Comprehensive knowledge of the game is preferred as well asknowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures. Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules. Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.

Working Schedule

Flexible after school hours required for scheduledgames both home and away.

Travel Requirements

Travelto home and away games with team using school transportation.

Reports To:Director of Athletics /Head Baseball Coach

Terms of Employment: As determined annually by the District.

Evaluation:Completed annually byDirector of Athletics

FLSA Status:Exempt/Non-exempt
