Infleqtion has 6 office locationsoperatingout of Boulder/Louisville CO; Madison WI; Chicago IL;Oxford UK; and Melbourne position is a full-time hybrid position which will be located in ourLouisville COoffice.

Position Summary

Infleqtion is seeking an exceptionalPrincipalElectrical Engineer with strong technical and people leadership experience to lead the architecture development and delivery of complex electronics systems supporting quantum sensors in demanding environments with a primary focus on space-deployed systems. This role owns the end-to-end electrical design of sophisticated control telemetry and HW/SW electronic systems and subsystems that enableInfleqtionsquantum products tooperatereliably in mission-critical conditions.

In this role the Principal Electrical Engineer will lead and grow a multidisciplinary electrical engineering teamestablishingclear roles priorities schedules and performance expectations aligned with programobjectives. The position carries accountability for technical quality cost and schedule including ownership of detailed planning proactive risk and resource management and early problem resolution. The successful candidate will foster a strong engineering culture emphasizing accountability professional rigor and continuous improvement.

The role requires close collaboration with management researchers systems engineers aerospace experts manufacturing partners suppliers and external subcontractors. The individual will actively engage customers and partners throughout the program lifecycle ensuring delivery against milestones and commitments whilemaintainingalignment withInfleqtionsinternal product lifecycle and quality standards. Cross-disciplinary engagement is expected with this roledriving technical alignment across hardware software systems and mission domains.

Job Responsibilities

  • Management ofinternal andcontractorteamsresponsible fordesign and delivery ofelectronicssystems throughout the product lifecycle: concept designtestand verification
  • Own the overall system architecture and ensure alignment with requirements and functional needs of the system
  • Presenting progress and results tosenior management andthe end customer
  • Overseeingand/orcontributing to designofsubsystems such asanalogmixed signalmicrocontrollersand FPGA controllers
  • Execution of modelling simulation and analytical effortsrequiredto enable product performance
  • Integration of electronics subsystems with mechanical optical and other subsystems
  • Identifyingand engaging key suppliers
  • FollowingInfleqtionsProduct Lifecycle Process and supporting Phase gate reviews critical design reviews and executive updates
  • Supporting development of risk management plans and risk resolution and supporting reliability analysis and continuous improvement
  • Coaching and mentoring junior engineers
  • Other duties as assigned orrequired

Travel

Up to 10%travelmay berequiredtosupport off-site testing deliveries andintegration.



Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degreerequired with a focusindesign electronics and/orembedded systems engineering
  • 10 years of relevant and progressive experience in similar rolesincluding electrical design
  • Experience mentoring more junior engineers and leading teams
  • Experience providing consultancy and strategic support to electrical engineering projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with all levels of an organization; Professional-level communication skills including verbal written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative cross-functional team-oriented and matrixed environment
  • Desire anddemonstratedability to thrive and produce results in a fluid dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new and complex topics quickly
  • Resourceful problem-solver who collaborativelyidentifieseffective paths forward withdemonstratedexpertisein executing productization effortsand working in highly technical environments
  • Ability to travel domestically and (potentially) internationally up to 10%

Desired Qualifications

  • Comfortable with ahands-onapproach to engineering leadership
  • Masters or PhD degree inelectricalengineeringor embedded systems engineering
  • Experience developing electronic systems for challenging non-terrestrial MEO
  • Proficiencyin FPGA design implementation and verification
  • Demonstrated ability tooptimizeFPGA designs for performance power and resourceutilizationin real-world applications
  • Experience in delivering new advanced technologies to commercialmarkets
  • Experience in hardwareDFx(designfor cost manufacturing assembly test sustainment)
  • Experience working with complex systems that integrate hardware firmware and software. Knowledge of best practices in software engineering is a plus
  • Familiarity withcomplex analogcircuit design
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers used in spaceapplications
  • Familiarity with embedded firmware
  • Familiarity with quantum computing mechanics or physics
  • Familiarity with electro-optical design and integrated photonics
  • Active listening and presence with team members

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Please note that any offer for employment may be conditioned on authorization to receive software or technology controlled under these U.S. export control laws and regulations without sponsorship for an export license


Work will normally be performed in an office and laboratory environment and around technical equipment including computers and to sit stand bend lift and carry up to 40 pounds without to efficiently use automated office equipment such as laptops copiers and printers; able to effectively engage in communications (via phone computer or in-person).Any required Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and must beproperly usedin accordance withcompany requirements.



Benefits

The targeted salary range for this role is 160000 to 200000 USD on an annualized basis plus eligibility to participate in our annual incentive plan.
