Position Summary: The Maintenance Repair I is responsible for troubleshooting maintaining and repairing production equipment and machinery. This role includes project-driven installations rigging and equipment teardown along with responsibilities for training fabrication and problem-solving. The position supports both day-to-day maintenance needs and long-term process improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Perform lubrication and routine maintenance on machinery.
- Rig install and maintain equipment such as punch presses conveyor lines assembly machines tapping machines and lathes.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures including HVAC plumbing and vehicle maintenance.
- Set ways and gibs on presses.
- Operate tool room equipment including Bridgeports lathes grinders and saws.
- Analyze and repair automated conveyors and rebuild spindles.
- Use test equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hydraulic and directional components (valves pumps motors cylinders flow controls).
- Bend conduit and pull wires for electrical installations.
- Analyze problems and design/fabricate solutions based on project parameters.
- Apply root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
- Train fellow repairmen and maintenance personnel on procedures and job knowledge.
- Organize job materials and coordinate workflow to improve efficiency.
- Support preventive maintenance programs and tool upkeep.
- Assist line workers in diagnosing malfunctions in production supervisor-assigned or delegated projects.
- Coordinate shift transitions and support consistent communication and operations.
- Promote and adhere to all safety procedures and plant policies.
- Collaborate with other department supervisors managers and support groups.
- Support and contribute to company and plant goals and values.
- Participate positively in team-based problem solving.
- Perform other product- or customer-driven tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Math proficiency and blueprint reading

Education & Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3 to 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Essential Skills: - Blueprint reading (including hydraulic and pneumatic schematics)
- Machine repair and maintenance (hydraulics electrical pneumatics)
- Tool room equipment operation
- Welding and fabrication
- Building maintenance (plumbing HVAC structural)
- Familiarity with mechanical testing tools (calipers height gauges dial indicators micrometers)
