Assistant Pre-K Teacher Bilingual (French Speaking)

Minimum Qualifications
- Language Proficiency:Near-native fluency in both spoken and written English and French.
- Educational Background:Must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a current Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; or
- Have completed a minimum of nine (9) college credit hours in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development.
Nice-to-Haves-Skills and qualities that are a plus but not necessarily a requirement
- Previous experience in PreK or elementary settings
- Knowledge of best practices when working with language learners
Responsibilities
- Provides appropriate research-based scaffolds and differentiates instruction
- Develops and uses an effective classroom culture plan
- Develops and implements Individualized Education Plans and student goals
- Collects and analyzes data and uses it to drive decisions
- Prepares and implements daily lessons aligned to the curriculum
- Implement teacher-created lessons for individuals or small groups.
- Escort students safely from place to place within the school setting.
- Assist students with mobility needs (may involve lifting toileting etc.)
- Assist with appropriate behavior intervention as directed by teacher/supervisor.
- Aid in the administration of teacher district and state assessments.
- Implement student accommodations and modifications according to IEPs.
- Collect data on student progress as directed by the teacher.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is competitive and rages from $37568 $43173. Oursalaries are well-above market rate: SLLIS salaries are higher than 97% of public schools in Missouri. Your salary would be based on the highest postsecondary degree you have obtained and the number of years of experience you have. SLLIS also offers the following:
