Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading efforts to grow and strengthen Birds presence and partnerships in the communities we serve. This individual will work directly with city staff elected and community stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration between Birds offering and city and community goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of comprehensive community engagement strategy
- Build strong relationships with city staff and local stakeholders to identify common ground and advance Birds policy goals
- Organize and attend community meetings and outreach events
- Support the development of win-win regulations that drive responsible growth of micromobility as a key modeshift tool for cities
- Work closely with operations partners to ensure Birds service is at all times both responsive and responsible to the communities we serve
- Own programmatic reporting and evaluation to ensure compliance as well
- Data-driven approach to the continuous improvement and growth of Birds micromobility service
Must Haves
- 3 years progressive experience in government relations transportation advocacy sustainability or community organizing. Background and/or interest in urban mobility a plus.
- Ability to build and/or strengthen relationships with key community stakeholders including city officials.
- Strong project management and organization with a data-driven approach to solving problems.
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally to ensure that Bird fulfills all obligations required by the cities and ensure that the company remains responsive to local concerns as they emerge.
- Ability to build close relationships with Birds local General Manager(s) and local operations teams to identify evaluate and prioritize opportunities to improve policy.
- Ability to travel up to 50%
