THE OPPORTUNITY

The Electronics Quality Technician II reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations - Quality Control team. The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster MANET product development and manufacturing.

The position is full-time on-site daily Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct advanced visual inspection and rework per IPC-J-STD 001 standards.

• Perform continuity resistance and voltage checks to support root cause analysis.

• Build and repair custom cable assemblies wiring harnesses and test fixtures.

• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and test equipment under supervision.

• Support RMA processing by performing initial diagnostic checks on returned units.

• Collaborate with Quality Engineers to identify process improvements and recurring issues.

• Document inspection results and communicate non-conformances effectively.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED or an Associates degree in Electronics with 1 year of relevant experience.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics assembly inspection or rework.

• Strong soldering skills with fine-pitch SMT components.

• Familiarity with basic test equipment (oscilloscope DMM power supply).

• Proficient in Windows-based data entry and documentation tools.

• NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.

• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) under IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD 001.

• Familiar with low-voltage and RF PCB assemblies.

• Experience supporting R&D or prototype environments.

• Knowledge of ESD controls calibration tracking and safety procedures.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Occasional exposure to heat and cold.

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to do the following:

  • Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.

  • Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.

  • Walking/Moving in the labs.

CA Pay Range: $29.12 - $31.20 / hourly

This pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidates experience and qualifications.
