Job Summary
Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Carlisle and across Cumbria
Salary:per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
Contract: Permanent Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday with overtime and call-out rota
NXT Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established and growing engineering business as they expand their presence across Cumbria. Due to continued growth and increasing demand they are looking to appoint an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served engineer who enjoys working on commercial projects values high standards of workmanship and wants to be part of a business that invests in its people through training development and long-term progression.
The role
You will be responsible for the service maintenance fault finding and commissioning of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across a range of commercial sites. The role is predominantly field based and will involve both planned and reactive work including participation in an out-of-hours call rota.
Key responsibilities
Fault finding on split multi-split and VRV / VRF air conditioning systems including cold room applications
Servicing and planned maintenance of air conditioning systems across commercial buildings
Commissioning of split multi-split and VRV / VRF systems
Service commissioning and fault diagnosis of heat recovery ventilation systems
Responding to emergency and unplanned breakdowns as part of the on-call rota
Completing work to a high standard while maintaining health and safety compliance
About you
Time-served and fully qualified Refrigeration / Air Conditioning Engineer
Relevant qualifications to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
City & Guilds 2079-1
Proven experience working on commercial air conditioning installations
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Full UK driving licence
CSCS card preferred
Whats on offer
Salary between 38000 and 44000 depending on experience and qualifications
