Position Overview
Woolpert is hiring an Enterprise GISBusiness Development Director to lead growth in WoolpertsEnterprise Systems & AnalyticsMarket focusing onour Infrastructure markets that include municipalwater/wastewatertransportation and aviation markets. This role combines business development client engagement and team leadership to drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions.
As a trusted advisor you will expand Woolperts network acrossInfrastructuremarkets strengthen existing relationships and guidingproject teams in delivering high-valueGIS services and solutions. This position offers the opportunity to shape industry strategy and influence howclientsleveragetechnology to solve critical infrastructure challenges.

What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement growth strategies (in collaboration with internalteams)participatein business meetings and continually evaluate existing operating procedures to increase margin and revenue.
- Manage contract development and the negotiations process with new and existing large complex clients.
- Understand financial models and data analytics to assess areas of growth and development of opportunities.
- Assistwith budget development and provide support for new/existing growth initiatives.
- Responsible for proactive client management client growth and retention and opportunity development in collaboration with internal teams.
- Be a champion for growth with field personnel and through participation/leadership with technical teams and anysubsequentprojects.
- Actively assessing and developing new growth opportunities through expansions to new clients markets acquisitions and new solution offerings.
- Maintain professional working relationships with clients.
- Coordinate with other Woolpert employees to share best practices.
- Demonstrated excellence in leading cross-functional teams including project managers technical leaders and support staff.
- Be a team player both internally and externally.
- Share best practices and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Support recruitment of key talent to strengthen Woolperts utilities team.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience: 10 years in management consulting or professional services within the public sector GIS market with proven success in business development and client leadership.
- Industry Network: Established relationships withclients and software partners.
- Experience withaviation and DOT a plus
- Education: Bachelors degree in business engineering geospatial sciences or related fieldrequired. Equivalent experienceconsidered.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding ofthe Esri suite and its application to municipaloperations and geospatial applications; exposure toGIS-centric enterprise asset management systems.
Skills:
- Strategic thinking and consultative salesexpertise.
- Ability to negotiate complex agreements and mitigate risk.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
