Dyson Cost Management is seeking a highly motivated Senior Design-to-Cost Engineer to work closely with Engineering Manufacturing Procurement and Finance teams to ensure our cost competitiveness. As the Senior Design-to-Cost Engineer within Group Finance team you will have a significant contribution to the profitability of our inventions and innovations. Your work will have a direct impact on our product cost our product designs and our manufacturing processes.

About the role

Take an active role in competitor product teardowns to gather insights and identify opportunities for cost and design improvements.

Support the organisation and delivery of Design-to-Cost workshops contributing ideas and ensuring follow-up on agreed actions.

Translate teardown and workshop findings into clear recommendations to help guide design and project teams.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to help implement cost-saving initiatives tracking actions and reporting progress.

Document and share teardown results best practices and lessons learned within the team to build organisational knowledge.

Generate bottom up Should Cost calculations.

About you

A degree in Engineering Business Economics or a related field with experiences in process and part optimization (electronics and/or mechanics).

Knowledge and proven track record in Cost Engineering.

In-depth knowledge on manufacturing technologies understanding of product cost and margin structures.
