Job Description

The Payments CRO Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the Elavon Merchant Payment Services (MPS) Line of Business in Europe by ensuring robust risk management practices. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining risk frameworks identifying and mitigating operational risks and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. Acting as a key liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense the analyst plays a pivotal role in operational risk program activities from a First Line of Defense (FLOD) perspective.

Key Responsibilities

Third Party & Intragroup Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)

  • Assist and participate in the companys Third Party Risk Management programs including Corporate Directed Business Directed and Outsourcing processes (full lifecycle activities).
  • Provide review and oversight throughout the assessment process.
  • Play a key role in quality assurance by:
    • Reviewing FLOD ongoing monitoring and management of third-party performance.
    • Tracking timely resolution of mitigating actions raised from Second Line of Defense (SLOD) reviews.
    • Reporting performance failures and assessing root causes to identify and foster enhancements.
  • Assist in preparing relevant reporting for risk leaders and internal governance forums.

Product Risk Management (PRISM)

  • Support the Merchant Payment Services business line in navigating business change risk programs including:
    • PRISM assessments.
    • Data Protection Impact Assessments.
    • Third-party onboarding processes.
  • Help the business understand and complete pre- and post-implementation requirements assigned as part of the PRISM process.
  • Assist in preparing relevant reporting for risk leaders and internal governance forums.

Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks.
  • Ability to identify and escalate risks effectively.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration between Lines of Defense.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Risk Management Finance Business Administration or an equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 35 years of experience in risk management or compliance
    • Hands-on experience with Third Party Risk Management and product risk assessment processes.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
