Job Description:

The Senior Specialist Source-to-Contract IT will ensure that the North America GS (Global Services) Procurement Source-to-Contract organization delivers results in support of the IT categories within Global Services OneProcurement and Johnson & Johnson business strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business category leaders and the broader function. Additionally you contribute to and/or own the operational execution of prioritized category strategy implementations sourcing and contracting cases and other critical functional activities.

This role performs activities relating to the execution of the organizations strategic sourcing plan from maintaining supplier relationships through executing contract negotiation contract authoring and contract management activities.

The Senior Specialist Source-to-Contract works to identify and address needs of internal stakeholders contributes improvements to procurement strategies and remains abreast on current market trends.

This is a seasoned individual contributor who works independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts the day-to-day operations of the Source-to-Contract function for IT categories including sourcing event management price and other contract terms negotiation contract drafting negotiation and execution and stakeholder management activities. Delivers against defined Service Levels.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory legal and company policies and procedures.

  • Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position utilizing market intelligence risk assessments and total cost projections.

  • Drives continuous improvements in user experience effectiveness and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.

  • Supports development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.

  • Creates Value by developing strong value-added working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.

  • Understands and applies Johnson & Johnsons Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.

  • Oversee the end-to-end sourcing process from supplier identification and evaluation to contract negotiation and finalization ensuring alignment with business goals and cost optimization.

  • Draft review and negotiate contracts (i.e. SLAs CDAs MDAs) with suppliers and service providers ensuring compliance with legal financial and operational standards.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers managing performance resolving issues and ensuring long-term mutually beneficial partnerships.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (i.e. legal finance) to align sourcing strategies provide guidance on contract terms and ensure organizational objectives are met.

  • Identify assess and mitigate risks in sourcing and contracting processes ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

  • Drive process improvements within the sourcing and contracting functions utilizing data analysis automation and best practices to increase efficiency and reduce cost.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent University degree is required.

  • An MBA or further advanced degree is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Six years of procurement sourcing contract management finance or other relevant business experience.

  • Collaboration Communication & Influencing Skills: Should be regarded as a constructive player representing Source-to-Contract and overall procurement in various teams within the company and outside. Should have the requisite communication skills to communicate & influence objectives and then develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally to achieve them.

  • Learning Agility & Openness to Change.

  • Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.

  • Strong background in negotiating commercial and legal terms within various contracts (i.e. SLAs CDAs MSAs).

  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders (legal finance etc.) to align sourcing with business goals.

  • Skilled in data-driven decision-making and risk mitigation for sourcing and contracting strategies.

  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple contracts and projects ensuring on-time delivery and execution.

Preferred:

  • IT Procurement experience and/or legal certifications.

  • Good understanding of Requisition-to-pay and Source-to-settle processes and operations is preferred.

  • Experience in one or more Procurement Functional domains: Sourcing incl. negotiation of commercial and non-commercial terms Category management R2P or Accounts Payable.

  • Shared Services Industry experience is preferred.

  • Fluency in one other language ((written and oral) for the supported region is preferred.

  • Experience in Pharma & MedTech industries and understanding of its supply chain and supplier landscape.

  • Familiarity with tools like SAP Ariba Service Now or similar e-sourcing/e-procurement systems.

  • Experience managing global sourcing and understanding international regulations and compliance.

  • Proven leadership experience; ability to mentor teams and drive process improvements using automation and innovation.

Other:

  • Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$94000.00 - $151800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans employees are eligible to participate in the Companys consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Companys long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation 120 hours per calendar year
