THE OPPORTUNITY
The Electronics Quality Technician III reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations - Quality Control team. The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster MANET product development and manufacturing.
The position is full-time on-site daily Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA.
The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead inspection and repair activities for complex PCB assemblies.
Conduct root cause analysis and failure diagnostics using advanced tools.
Perform functional testing and repair on customer-returned units (RMAs).
Support and train junior technicians on proper inspection soldering and ESD practices.
Maintain and calibrate specialized test and diagnostic equipment.
Collaborate closely with Engineering to resolve recurring product issues.
Build and validate test fixtures and jigs used for production verification.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED or an Associates degree in Electronics with 2 years of relevant experience.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on electronics experience.
Advanced soldering and rework proficiency (fine-pitch SMT BGAs micro coax).
Strong troubleshooting skills using schematics and test instruments.
Experience documenting and communicating technical findings to engineers.
NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) under IPC-A-610 or IPC-J-STD 001.
Familiarity with RF and high-speed digital circuit testing.
Experience with Linux-based diagnostic tools.
Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
Comfortable in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary production environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to do the following:
Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
Walking/Moving in the labs.
CA Pay Range: $32.40 - $34.56 / hour USD
This pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidates experience and qualifications.
