We are seeking an experienced Safety Leader to join our team. This role promotes a culture of safety on construction sites and in our fabrication shops. The ideal candidate will develop implement and oversee health and safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries ensuring a safe working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement safety policies procedures and training programs in compliance with OSHA local state and federal regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections in the field and shops and conduct audits to identify potential hazards and ensure safety compliance
- Investigate accidents incidents and near-misses preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions
- Provide safety training and education to employees contractors and site personnel
- Enforce safety standards and regulations issuing recommendations or corrective actions
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all phases of construction projects
- Maintain accurate safety records including compliance documentation incident reports and training logs
- Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure proper reporting of safety concerns
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
- Lead toolbox talks safety meetings and provide ongoing safety guidance to teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of experience in a safety EHS or risk management role
- Ability to travel to construction sites within the region up to 75% of the time
- Relevant professional certifications preferred such as ASP CSP or CHST or ability to obtain certification within the first 12 months of employment
- Construction safety and industry experience preferred
