Safety Leader

We are seeking an experienced Safety Leader to join our team. This role promotes a culture of safety on construction sites and in our fabrication shops. The ideal candidate will develop implement and oversee health and safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries ensuring a safe working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement safety policies procedures and training programs in compliance with OSHA local state and federal regulations
• Conduct regular site inspections in the field and shops and conduct audits to identify potential hazards and ensure safety compliance
• Investigate accidents incidents and near-misses preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions
• Provide safety training and education to employees contractors and site personnel
• Enforce safety standards and regulations issuing recommendations or corrective actions
• Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all phases of construction projects
• Maintain accurate safety records including compliance documentation incident reports and training logs
• Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure proper reporting of safety concerns
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Lead toolbox talks safety meetings and provide ongoing safety guidance to teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 years of experience in a safety EHS or risk management role
• Ability to travel to construction sites within the region up to 75% of the time
• Relevant professional certifications preferred such as ASP CSP or CHST or ability to obtain certification within the first 12 months of employment
• Construction safety and industry experience preferred
