Pharmacist

Contract Type: Non-Personal Healthcare Services (GSA FSS Task Order)
Period of Performance: FY 2026 (monthly as needed)
Position Overview
FCI Atlanta is seeking licensed Pharmacists to provide temporary general pharmacy services to the inmate population. Services are rendered on an as-needed basis in a secure correctional healthcare environment.
Schedule:
- Sunday Saturday
- Between 6:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Not to exceed 8 hours per day without HSA approval
- Includes holidays
- Frequency based on institutional needs
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interpret and verify medical and dental prescription orders
- Enter prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system and generate labels
- Select prepare and dispense medications accurately
- Assist with medication dispensing and inventory control
- Monitor medication stock levels and report shortages
- Provide inmate medication counseling and education
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and local pharmacy regulations
Supplies
All routine pharmacy supplies and materials will be provided by the institution.
Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted Pharmacist license (any U.S. state)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an AACP-accredited school
- Ability to pass drug screening and background investigation
