As a Loan Agency and Trading Services Associate in the APAC Wholesale Lending Services Middle Office you will coordinate syndicated loan transactions and support primary and secondary loan trading. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation and seamless execution. Your role is essential in maintaining operational controls and delivering high-quality client service. You will be part of a collaborative team focused on efficiency risk management and process improvement. The APAC Wholesale Lending Services Middle Office provides end-to-end support for loan origination agency servicing and trading across multiple business lines. Our services are tailored to client needs ranging from bilateral to syndicated transactions. As an Associate you will play a key role in managing deal pipelines facilitating settlements and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will also have the chance to participate in regional and global projects aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness.
Job responsibilities
- Draft and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements and oversee information flow with internal and external parties
- Ensure accurate capture of trade details in booking systems
- Prepare and coordinate LMA/LSTA trade documentation and settlement efforts
- Monitor and manage agency deal pipeline liaising with deal originators and legal counsel
- Review and interpret documentation to ensure operational feasibility and negotiate as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams for credit and booking system setup
- Verify satisfaction of Conditions Precedent in partnership with counsel and deal teams
- Maintain ongoing client and syndicate transactions managing queries and payments
- Manage loan transfers waiver and amendment requests and track financial covenants
- Uphold quality measures and standards to meet client service and control requirements
- Participate in local regional and global projects to drive efficiency and process improvements
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years experience in a financial institution with at least 2 years in loans documentations/middle office
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and a control-oriented mindset
- Proven decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills
- Initiative to escalate issues appropriately
- Proactive self-starter with dependable timely and accurate support delivery
- Flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Visio) and web-based technology
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience with Clearpar or equivalent trade settlement platforms
- Knowledge of APLMA/LMA documentation
- Familiarity with loan transfer documentation and settlements
- Experience with Loan IQ system
- Exposure to Australia and Japan markets and participants
- Business proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1) to support clients in Japan
- Experience with Tableau Alteryx or other data analysis tools
