Takealot Group South Africas leading online Retail / Fashion / Delivery organisation is looking for a highly talented Supply Chain Analytics Intern to join our team in Durban Distribution Centre. The Internship Programme will be split between all businesses within the Group namely: TFS and Mr D.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

N6 Certificate in Computer Studies / Information Technology / Information Systems

The skills we need:

• Foundational knowledge in Excel SQL and Python (or R) suitable for entry-level analytical work.
• Familiarity with AI Large Language Models (ChatGPT or similar).
• Computer Literacy
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Data cleaning wrangling and preparation
• Ability to work with large datasets
• Understanding of databases and data structures
• Familiarity with software development principles

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret SQL-based datasets to identify trends support decision-making and solve operational problems.
• Develop and maintain Python automation scripts to streamline recurring data processes and improve efficiency.
• Support monitor and enhance existing data pipelines and internal applications ensuring reliability and performance.
• Design and build intuitive dashboards and reporting solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions and tools.

This is a 12-month contract position.
