Are you passionate about developing innovative software solutions that create measurable business value As our Software Engineer for PI Platform Applications you will design build and maintain high-quality data applications on our PI-based platform. Welcome to Process Informatics & Analytics

As our new Senior Software Engineer you will be part of Process Informatics & Analytics (PIA) team that consists of 25 dedicated colleagues. You will be part of a proactive forward-thinking team where your technical skills and collaborative mindset will help shape the future of Novonesis platform ecosystem dynamic and inclusive environment.

Furthermore you will play a crucial role in building high-quality maintainable applications that enhance production efficiency and support better decision-making using the AVEVA PI Historian Platform. You will actively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization fostering a proactive and service-driven approach to problem-solving. By contributing your technical expertise you will help strengthen our engineering culture through technical leadership attention to code quality and architectural excellence. Additionally you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide end users encouraging them to adopt and expand the use of the PI platform ecosystem.

In this role youll make an impact by:

• Ensuring the quality reliability and performance of applications developed on the PI platform.

• Designing developing and deploying robust full-stack architectures including data backend and frontend components.

• Building sustainable scalable data applications that drive value in Novonesis production environments.

• Collaborating with global production personnel to gather and challenge user requirements transforming them into actionable solutions.

• Inspiring end users to adopt and extend applications on the PI platform.

• Promoting agile methodologies across development teams while contributing to DevOps practices and deployment pipelines.

• Reviewing code to ensure adherence to best practices standards and design patterns.

Potentially Relevant Experience:

Technical Expertise:

• Extensive knowledge of the AVEVA PI Historian System

• Strong programming skills and experience with multiple programming languages.

• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.

• In-depth understanding of software design patterns and their application.

• Experience with interface setup and configuration between IT systems.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins TeamCity) version control (e.g. Git) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker).

• Understanding cloud concepts and vendors such as AWS Google Cloud or Azure.

Architecture and Problem-Solving:

• Proven ability to translate user requirements into scalable production-grade software solutions.

• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills in architectural and design decisions.

• Data modeling expertise and the ability to communicate effectively across IT OT and business stakeholders.
