Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department Float Pool (Night Shift)
Location: Syracuse NY
Contract Duration: 18 Weeks (Potential for Extension)
Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (12.5-hour shifts)
Pay Rate: $55$63 per hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses to join a Night Shift Float Pool in Syracuse NY. This role is ideal for adaptable high-performing RNs who thrive in fast-paced high-acuity environments and can confidently care for both adult and pediatric patients. Float Pool RNs will support Adult Emergency Departments including Level 1 and Level 2 trauma cases and are expected to practice with a high degree of clinical autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
Perform rapid assessments and life-saving interventions in high-acuity situations
Manage trauma patients in accordance with established clinical protocols
Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system
Collaborate with physicians trauma teams and multidisciplinary staff
Maintain compliance with safety infection control and quality standards
Function independently with minimal orientation in a fast-paced ED setting
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (within the last 2 years)
Facility Experience: Prior experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center required
Licensure: Active unrestricted New York State RN license
Certifications:
BLS (AHA) Required
ACLS and PALS Strongly Preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma hospitals
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Demonstrated ability to care for both adult and pediatric patient populations
Strong critical-thinking communication and adaptability skills
