Whoyou are:

• Mustbe enrolled in anEngineeringco-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.
• Have Excellent computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely usingappropriate technicalvocabulary.
• Hold a valid Class 5 drivers license.

Asset Strategy & Analytics Description:

• Review reported system deficiencies andassistin work approval
• Use SQL to query process report and work with asset management data
• Apply analytic skills toidentifyandinitiateasset repair or replacement programs
• Apply leadership / project management skills to engage stakeholders and lead on solution development process
• Assistin planning yearly transmission and distribution system capital maintenance program

Asset Modernization Description:

• Develop and review SCADA points lists for varying projects
• Use automated tools to support Distribution SCADA projects and programs

• Apply analytic skills to develop automated tools for new products
• Support the tracking of project costs for KPI reporting SIM card costsetc
• Assistin revising existing processes and procedures

Distribution Design Engineering

Discipline: Electrical Civil Engineering Location: Grande Prairie Lloydminster

Description:

• Prepare designs using AutoCAD for projects compatible with pre-engineeredstandardsregulations and meeting customer requirements.
• Calculate structure loading & determine pole class and guy length requirements based on tangential and sheer loading & balancing of static forces.
• Clearance calculations of overhead facilities
• Size electrical equipment wire cable andappropriate over-current protective devices
• Develop project cost and resource estimates.
• Prepare detailed material listsandorderingmaterial.
• 95% office based 5% field based.
• Hybrid Schedule.

Distribution System Planning

Discipline: Electrical EngineeringLocation:Edmonton

Description:

• Operate power system simulation software (CYME) for load flow analysis.
• Creation of Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) as needed for customer new extensions and system work.
• Developsprotection schemes regulator settings transformer sizes.
• reviews historical load and generation data andassistsin the implementation of recent technologies.
• Work withTransmissionProtection and Control group to revise 25kV breaker relay settings.
• Daily support as needed to Service staff with transformer upgrades fuse coordination equipment upgrades and replacements contingency studies and outage investigations.

Distribution Technical Standards & Support (DTSS)

Description:

• Creation and maintenance of Distribution standards for power pole structures overhead and underground materials design & construction guidelines andpadmountequipment structures.
• Investigate new material for compliancetorequired codes & specifications and internal practices.
• Investigate and answer questions posed to the Standards team by Design and Construction.
• Review and analyze code changes andimpactstocurrent ATCO standards.
• Support the team in creating and organizingcentralizeddocumentation database (DEMS).
• Program DEMSDCSMand quality assurance workflows.

• Assistengineers with supporting asset management team field maintenance crews andright of wayplanning team.

• Participating in field checksworkwith team todeterminingmostefficient route of powerline.
• Prepare designs using AutoCAD with pre-engineered standards regulations and meeting customer requirements.

Telecom Engineering

Discipline: Electrical Computer Communication Engineering Location: Edmonton

Description:

• Supports the design for projects to modernize and expand the utility-owned Telecom system through various project types and provides operational support as needed.
• Provides drafting construction packages and mapping support.
• Marks up preliminary and as-built drawing packages asrequired and coordinates drawing packages with other Engineering staff.
• Participates in pre-commissioning of new assets including testing and configuration of devices and collection of asset data for entry into Maximo.
• Usetelecomnetwork design software tool for planning telecom networks.
• Conducts data analysis in support of network planning activities.

Description:

• This positionis responsible forsupporting the Work Management team as they interact with the project and technical groups to stabilize the Work and Asset Management Program.
• Provide exposure and allow direct interactions with the Transmission and Distribution operation teams.

Work Coordination - CCM Expediter

Discipline:ElectricalEngineering Location:Edmonton

Description:

• Ensuring project deliverables (Final engineer reviewed Microsoft Word document or Final engineer reviewed AutoCAD design) are completed.
• Collaborate with Engineering Lands Scheduling and Warehouse departments to adapt (change document/design currently working on) due to changing priorities.
• Regularly communicate with customers to understand their service requirements discuss timelines and obtain project-related information to use in the document/design.
• Supporting the team through various duties including data entry and analysis documentation and application of company initiatives.
