CIMA is currently seeking applications for the position of a Bilingual Designer (Technologist) to join our Energy & ResourcesTeam. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the development of functional preliminary and detailed design plans for Renewable projects: such as Wind farm design Solar and BESS as well as for electrification of transportation and SCADA/telecom projects. You will also be required to perform site inspections within Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.
This role will be based in our Ottawa office in a hybrid model (2 days/week in the office)
Qualifications :
- Technician / Technologist diploma in a relevant program
- 2-6 years experience working in a team environment and completing tasks assigned and reviewed by others.
- Experience with industrial electrical design
- Drafting designer experience with AutoCAD
- Experience interacting with contractors / clients
- Previous experience performing site inspections
- Fluency in English and French is required
- Microstation / Revit knowledge is an asset along with panel design and utility experience
