Thisrole shapes the voice of Maryland as a place to do business build a workforceand grow an economy. It combines strategy writing collaboration andcross-channel content development. The incumbent will create messaging andcontent used across Marylands statewide marketing efforts including webdigital ads social media email print collateral trade show materialspresentations video scripts and more. This role translates complex informationabout Marylands business advantages industries workforce incentives andeconomic priorities into clear compelling content. The incumbent will alsowork closely with Commerce leadership business development teams and subjectmatter experts to ensure all content reflects Marylands value proposition andaligns with statewide goals. The position also supports high-level prospectengagement by helping develop custom presentations and materials that elevateMarylands brand. This role is a key contributor to the Maryland MarketingPartnership the statewide branding body that funds and guides Marylandsbusiness attraction marketing. Tasks may include preparing materials for boardmeetings making presentations supporting partner engagement and helpingmaintain accurate information on partner and board communications.
The ideal candidate will demonstratestrong writing and editing skills; Strategic marketing experience connectingtarget audiences with messages that resonate; Analytical mindset and ability tooptimize content for performance. Ability to handle multiple concurrent andhigh priority projects; Proficiency with Google Suite Microsoft Office Suiteand other relevant software.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Six years of administrative staff or professional work.

2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.

4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules regulations policy procedures and processes or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
