Your role
As an Etteplan Technical Author you develop high-quality technical communications in varied formats from manuals to interactive augmented and visualized content. Working with technical experts and the latest documentation methodologies you optimize information to create user-friendly instructions and enhance data management.
Your environment
You work with innovating companies in multidisciplinary teams including subject matter experts and specialist illustrators. Flexible working hours and a mix of office-home-remote work are standard. You are part of a close-knit community of like-minded colleagues and are well supported by your project leader.
Your main responsibilities
- Develop high-quality technical documentation including manuals and online content.
- Translate complex subject matter into clear understandable content.
- Work to maintain good customer relationships.
- Develop your professionalism in line with the latest standards.
- Collaborate with experts such as technical engineers illustrators and developers.
Your skills and experience
- Experience: Have delivered written content to deadlines for either professional communications or for advanced academic purposes.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent English and ability to speak effectively in Dutch to customers.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with a range of modern information technology and software.
- Mobility: Valid driver license
- Team Collaboration: Ability and experience in working and communicating in diverse team and customer settings.
Personal qualities
- Willingness to learn and develop within the technical information profession.
- Readiness to travel to do work at remote customers sites.
- Structured approach to priorities and planning.
- Eye for details systems signs and patterns.
We also value
- Previous experience: working with international or multi-disciplinary teams.
- Structured content experience: experience with topic-based writing working with a CMS previous work with documentation standards (e.g. DITA / XML S1000D S2000M STE).
