Job Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The HR Operations Internprovides support to Human Resource and Operations Team at FPWA under the guidance ofthe Director of HR & Operations. In this rolethey will be exposed to all areas of HR including onboarding benefits employee engagementtrainingand operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate on projects that improveemployeeexperience such as updating processesorcreating internal guides.
  • Support employee inquiries answering day-to-dayquestionsand directing employees to the right resources.
  • Contribute to engagement and training efforts: researching training resourcestrends best practices and providing recommendations around developmentrecognitionand retention.
  • Support the team by researching labor law trends and best practices to help update internal guides and policies.
  • Provide administrative support foremployee engagementand internal communicationwithinBambooHR(FPWAs HRIS)Communityincludingcoordinatingwith outsidedepartmentsonannouncementsupdatesand recognitionposts.
  • Assistinmaintainingemployee records and ensuring data accuracy withinBambooHR.
  • Keen interestin gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations.
  • Other duties andtasksasassigned.

REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolledor recently graduated fromaBachelors or MastersDegree program with interest in Human ResourcesBusinessAdministrationor a related field.
  • Strongcommunicatorwho enjoys working with people and solving problems.
  • Highly organizedanddetail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior Experience working with BambooHRa plus.


SALARY:

  • Salary range:
    $20 to$25 per hourcommensuratewith experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • As part of building a culture where employs can do their best work FPWA currently employs a hybrid model. Employees are in-office twice perweekand senior leadership is in-office three times per week. Weobservea company-wide remotedayon Fridays.
  • Work performed by this role is expected to happen in or near New York NY given FPWAs work policies and practices. This joboperatesin a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment
