The Facilities Technician III performs maintenance within the UWM Student Union. The UWM Student Union encompasses five floors and 330000 square feet which includes ten dining units two conference centers several retail spaces a recreation center and an art gallery. Services are also provided for tenants and other departments housed within the facility.
The Facilities Technician III inspects maintains and repairs equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. They assist with construction design and operational maintenance as needed. This position primarily works 2nd shift (2:30PM 11PM) Monday through Friday with flexible or extended hours as determined by department needs.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Utilizes equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery equipment and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation.
Performs routine and non-routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness.
Troubleshoots escalates and documents issues according to established policies and procedures.
Manage the receipt inspects inventories and distributes facility-related deliveries to appropriate areas ensuring accuracy and timely handling.
Assists trades crafts vendors and technical staff with construction design and operational maintenance as needed.
