Location

On site in Newington Connecticut. You will work locally with a home base in Central CT.

Note

This role is for an experienced Party Chief who can confidently run a one or two person crew operate robotic total stations and GPS GNSS and produce clean field documentation. Valid drivers license required. Drug test and background check required.

Job Description

• Lead one and two person field crews on boundary topographic and construction layout surveys
• Operate robotic total stations and GPS GNSS equipment to collect precise data and establish control
• Perform construction staking as builts and site layout with strong attention to accuracy
• Maintain clear field notes sketches and point descriptions for efficient office processing
• Coordinate daily plans with the office and project leads to hit deadlines and reduce rework
• Support training and oversight of junior crew members on equipment setup safety and documentation
• Contribute to a safety first quality driven field culture

Qualifications

• 3 years of field surveying experience with at least 1 year leading a crew as Party Chief or equivalent
• Hands on experience with robotic total stations and GPS GNSS
• Construction staking and layout experience
• Strong field documentation and quality control habits
• Valid drivers license and ability to pass drug test and background check
• Leica experience is a plus
