About Our Client

Our client is a Riverside-based law firm with a broad litigation platform handling matters in state and federal courts including ADR when appropriate. Their defense practice spans civil litigation and insurance-related disputes supporting a wide range of institutional and business clients.

Job Description

Handle civil litigation defense matters from intake through resolution
Draft pleadings motions discovery and case strategy materials
Take and defend depositions and manage written discovery
Appear in court for hearings CMCs and motion practice
Communicate directly with clients carriers and opposing counsel
Work closely with legal assistants/secretaries on filings calendaring and trial prep
Support settlement efforts mediation and ADR as needed

Qualifications

Active CA Bar (required)
2 years of civil litigation experience ideally on the defense side
Comfortable managing deadlines motion practice and discovery independently
Strong legal writing and analytical skills
Courtroom experience (hearings CMCs motions) is a plus
Professional responsive communicator with a team-oriented mindset
