This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.
As part of Everest Global Markets Everest Managing Agency is expanding its capabilities to deliver bespoke data-driven portfolio solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and partners. The Head of Portfolio Solutions will lead the newly formed Portfolio Solutions team driving strategic development execution and oversight of structured portfolio transactions across multiple lines of business.
Role Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary underwriting leader to establish and lead the Portfolio Solutions function. This role will be instrumental in shaping Everests approach to portfolio-based underwriting with a focus on innovation scalability and profitability. The successful candidate will oversee the origination structuring and governance of portfolio solutions while building a high-performing team and collaborating across the business to deliver impactful results.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead the development and execution of Everests portfolio solutions strategy including delegated authority consortia and broker facilities.
Build and manage a team of underwriters and analysts focused on portfolio transactions.
Oversee underwriting frameworks governance standards and performance monitoring tools for portfolio solutions.
Originate and negotiate complex structured deals in collaboration with brokers coverholders and clients.
Partner with internal stakeholders (actuarial exposure management claims legal finance) to assess risk pricing and portfolio performance.
Champion the use of data and analytics to drive underwriting decisions and portfolio optimization.
Represent the Portfolio Solutions function in internal committees governance forums and external engagements.
Monitor market developments and competitor activity to identify strategic opportunities and maintain Everests competitive edge.
Professional Experience & Skills:
Essential Experience
Extensive underwriting experience in the Lloyds or company market with a strong track record in delegated authority treaty or structured solutions.
Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
Advanced analytical skills and experience working with data-driven underwriting models.
Proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration and managing complex projects.
Desirable Experience
Familiarity with Lloyds market processes regulatory frameworks and governance standards.
Experience in building new functions or teams within an underwriting environment.
