Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn NY is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our 3-doctor team for a dedicated Saturday-only role. This position is ideal for a doctor with strong ER or urgent care experience who enjoys a fast pace and wants a consistent weekly schedule without weekday commitments. Candidates with Small Animal or Emergency internship training and 2 years of post-internship experience are strongly preferred.

Each Saturday you will work in a supportive environment where you can expect to see 16 to 18 patients through 30-minute appointments along with 4 to 6 drop offs and walk ins. We treat dogs and cats and provide daytime urgent care. We do not offer overnights or after-hours care at this location.

Surgery is not required. We welcome doctors who prefer appointments and urgent care only. This is a client facing role that calls for clear communication sound judgment and a calm presence. Many clients have been with us for years and our skilled support staff handles all technical tasks so you can stay focused on patient care.

The ideal candidate is patient compassionate decisive has strong communication skills and can thrive in a busy setting. Emergency and/or urgent care experience is a requirement. Collaboration with our close-knit team across our three locations is key. You must be passionate about high-quality veterinary care and delivering excellent customer service.

What to Expect

• Salary: The base salary for this part-time position (approximately 8 hours per week) is between $40000 and $45000 annually depending on experience and addition to the base salary there is a pro-sal incentive of 20%. There will be no negative accrual during the first 12 months providing a stable foundation as you establish yourself. High performers can significantly exceed the base salary.

• Schedule: This part-time position is designed for a doctor who wants a consistent shift working every Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
• Operating Hours:
  • Monday - Thursday: 9am - 7pm
  • Friday - Saturday: 9am - 5pm
  • Sunday: Closed

There are no on call duties no holiday shifts and no additional weekday or weekend hours. With 30-minute appointments you will have the time you need to assess patients discuss treatment plans and support strong client relationships. You will provide focused diagnostics treatment and follow up care while working with a skilled team in a well-equipped environment.
• A minimum 3:1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the supportand respectyou need to be excellent for our patients. Weve got your back. Our team consists of 4 DVMs 2 LVTs 8 Assistants and 5 CSRs led by a highly experienced Practice Manager with a strong lead technician background. The team is exceptionally skilled cohesive and efficienta well-oiled machine that allows doctors to focus fully on medicine and client relationships.

Requirements:

• A valid New York State Veterinary License (in good standing) prior to the start date
• DVM or VMD degree required
• ER/urgent care experience

Preferred:

• Internship training (Small Animal or Emergency)
