Testing Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Testing Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in testing web and mobile applications. As part of our QA team you will play a key role in ensuring the quality usability and performance of our software products. You should have a strong background in both manual and automated testing along with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Strategy: Collaborate with product managers developers and designers to understand project requirements and define test strategies for web and mobile applications.

• Manual Testing: Perform functional integration system and regression testing on web and mobile apps to identify defects and ensure feature quality.

• Automation Testing: Develop and execute automated test cases using tools such as Selenium Appium or similar frameworks to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

• Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify document and track software defects and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

• Performance & Usability Testing: Conduct performance and usability testing to ensure applications meet high standards of speed responsiveness and user experience.

• Cross-Browser & Cross-Device Testing: Test across different browsers devices and operating systems to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in retrospectives and contribute to improving QA processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on experience in web and mobile application testing.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in manual testing for both web and mobile platforms.

• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium Appium or equivalent.

• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g. TestRail).

• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (Agile Scrum) and SDLC.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Java Python) for test automation is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests in the pipeline is a bonus.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with API testing (e.g. Postman REST Assured).

• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter LoadRunner).

• ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
