Position Summary:
The Senior IT Field Service Engineer is a hands-on customer-facing technical professional responsible for delivering onsite IT support infrastructure services and advanced troubleshooting for commercial clients. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer with Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience who thrives in dynamic environments supports multiple client sites and serves as a trusted technical resource. This position features a combination of remote work and local Dc Metro area travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced onsite and remote technical support for commercial clients across multiple locations
- Install configure maintain and troubleshoot servers workstations network devices and peripherals
- Support Microsoft environments including Windows Server Active Directory Group Policy Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to networking (LAN/WAN firewalls VPNs switches wireless)
- Perform system upgrades migrations patching and hardware refresh projects
- Serve as an escalation point for Tier II/III issues and mentor junior field engineers
- Document configurations procedures and resolutions in ticketing and documentation systems
- Work closely with internal service desk project teams and account managers to ensure SLA compliance
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction during onsite engagements
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed
