Job Summary

Vall dHebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall dHebron. VHIR is oriented towards finding solutions to the health problems of the citizens and has the will to contribute to the scientific educational social and economic development within its area of competence around the world.

VHIR offers a vacant position of data analyst and clinical researcher within the Stroke Research Group.

Education and qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelors degree in Statistics Mathematics Engineering Economics Health Sciences or a related field.

  • Fluency in English

Desired:
  • Fluency in Catalan and Spanish

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
  • Training in data analysis public health or biostatistics.

Desired:
  • Proven experience working with clinical epidemiological or healthcare-related data.

  • Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations (e.g. clinical data quality health coding systems health indicators).

Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Data preparation curation statistical analysis and presentation of results to nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Metadata preparation for uploading to public repository

Labour conditions:

  • Part-time position: 20h/week.

  • Starting date: immediate

  • Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.

  • Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities (approximately 3 months)
