Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED) Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 36 hours/week (3x12s)
Weekends: 1 2 weekends in a 4-week schedule
Location: Kansas City KS
Position Summary The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient-centered care to individuals presenting with acute urgent and emergent conditions. The ED RN demonstrates clinical expertise critical thinking and strong communication skills while working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires the ability to rapidly assess prioritize and manage patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities -
Perform rapid patient assessments triage and ongoing reassessments

Provide direct nursing care to emergency and trauma patients

Administer medications IV fluids and emergency treatments per physician orders
-
Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
-
Utilize evidence-based practices and ED protocols
-
Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
-
Collaborate with physicians paramedics and ancillary staff
-
Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
-
Maintain compliance with hospital policies safety standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications -
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact)

Minimum 1 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience preferred

BLS required
-
ACLS required
-
PALS and/or TNCC preferred

Strong critical thinking multitasking and communication skills
-
Ability to work independently and in high-pressure situations
