FIRST (operates FIRST Verify) helps industrial clients pre-qualify and vet contractors across safety insurance financials and compliance through an online platform. We are a remote distributed team serving primarily US-based customers.

We are building our outbound sales motion and hiring our first SDR to generate meetings from company-provided target lists and messaging sequences.

Role Summary
This is an execution-focused SDR role. You will follow up with prospects from a company-provided list using approved messaging sequences and a defined cadence across phone email and other channels.

You will not be responsible for writing messaging from scratch. Success in this role comes from consistency attention to detail strong calling habits and the ability to move priority accounts from first touch to qualified sales conversations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute outbound outreach to a defined list of priority accounts using approved sequences and talk tracks

  • Make high-volume outbound calls and follow up across email phone SMS and other approved channels

  • Work daily calling blocks to reach US East Coast and West Coast prospects

  • Engage targeted prospects initiate conversations and qualify interest based on defined criteria

  • Book qualified meetings and hand off opportunities to the sales team with clean notes and context

  • Maintain accurate activity logging statuses and next steps in Salesforce

  • Provide structured feedback on objections response patterns and sequence performance

  • Strong daily activity execution against the established cadence

  • Consistent meeting generation from the provided list

  • High-quality qualification and handoffs (clear notes correct stages strong next steps)

  • Reliable voice quality and professional presence with industrial blue-collar buyer personas

  • Improvement over time in connect rates conversation rates and meeting conversion

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior SDR/BDR or outbound prospecting experience preferred

  • Strong spoken English with a clear professional phone presence (crystal-clear call quality required)

  • Comfortable spending a large portion of the day on outbound calling

  • Ability to follow structured processes and messaging with precision

  • Organized persistent resilient to rejection and comfortable with routine outreach

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and basic sales metrics (activity connects meetings conversion rates)

  • Stable internet connection and reliable VOIP setup suitable for professional calling

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling into industrial construction manufacturing logistics or contractor-related audiences

  • Experience using Salesloft or similar sequencing tools

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience

  • Interest in growing beyond meeting setting into closing and account management over time

Growth Path
This role is designed to start with meeting generation and strong outbound execution. For the right person there is a clear ramp to closing and account management within 6 to 12 months with the potential to mentor future SDR hires as the team grows.
