A Day in the Life
We are looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills to join our team. The Advanced Analytics Analyst will be responsible for ownership design deployment and support of the Artificial Intelligence /Machine Learning (AI/ML) models pipelines and tools supporting Global Operations & Supply Chain. The goal is to help drive proactive intelligent decisions at scale with predictive / prescriptive analytics and structured analysis of broad sets of data. The candidate will work closely with the leaders to strategize build execute and productionize AI/ML programs that enable insights into key drivers of strategic imperatives and operations metrics. They will empower leaders to make proactive decisions that improve business outcomes and service to our customers in a cost-effective way.The position will also focus on efficiency accuracy and reliability of ML models. A successful candidate will have in-depth technical knowledge of machine learning and signal processing methodologies and would take part in the full cycle of the development process which includes but is not limited to the design implementation debugging testing and integration with other subsystems.
This is a hybrid position based in Bogotá Colombia.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Execution:
Work independently and as a part of large teams to implement strategic imperatives andestablishoperational plans for multiple Global Ops programs. Recognizedmaster in professionaldiscipline
Analyze quantify and visualizelarge amountsof data from multiple disparate sources to generate verifiable conclusions
Develop inspect transform mine and model data to support business processes with statistical significance forecasting anomaly detection decision trees logistic regression probabilities etc.
Productionization:
Manage all aspects of end-to-end analytics model execution data accuracy monitoring drift monitoring model re-trainingutilizingcustomized report building functions of systems
Develop configure andmaintainour machine learning infrastructure and pipelines ensuring they are scalable reliable and secure.
Work closely with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models including deployment monitoring and version control.
Implement automated processes for data validation model training model evaluation and model deployment.
Optimizemachine learning workflows for performance and efficiency.
Develop tools and frameworks to enable end-to-end automation of the machine learning lifecycle.
Monitor and analyze model performance and dataquality andtroubleshoot any issues that arise.
Lead Mentor and Evangelize:
Partner with AI/ML practitioners inside and outside Medtronic to bring the latest best practices tools and techniques
Stayup to datewith the latest technologies and practices inMLOpsand incorporate them into our workflows asappropriate.
Communicate datastoriesand insights to the non-technical community describe model outcomes tothe technicalteam. Lead and mentor other data scientists on the team
RequiredKnowledge and Experience:
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Bachelors degree in science engineering or technical discipline
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Strong experience in machine learning data engineering and software development
Data query skills withSQL
Hands-on experience with building and productionizingAI/MLModels
Proficient in Python and R. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks
Expertisein setting up andmaintainingGitfor version control and deliverables management
Experience withDevOpstools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) and cloud services (AWS Azure)
Expertisein BI tools (PowerBI etc.) in a large-scale complex business environment
Nice to Have:
Expertisein AI/ML tools (Azure ML Dataiku etc.)
Understanding ofETLmethodologies and tools (Informatica etc.)
Experience working with Global Operations of large organizations preferably in medical devices.
Ability to learn lead mentor educate and support team members
Excellent understanding of data analytic and statistical tools capable of explaining the underlying concepts and principles.
Experience working with large volumes of data from multiple operations functions
Proven leadership skills and business acumen; performance driven. Proventrack recordof taking ownership and driving results.
Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability tointerfaceand influence at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability in managing/supporting multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
High levelof initiative and passion to drive change.
