As an Actuarial Technician within ourPensions Commercialteamyoullwork closely with our Distribution teams support keypricingdecisions and help to shape the future of our products and services.

Youll work on a variety of projects from bespoke pricing to trading performance insight and play a vital role in ensuring our processes and models are robust and future-ready.

About the role

  • Undertake technical analysis using standard actuarial and analytical techniques performingreasonablenesschecks and documenting work clearly.
  • Contribute to business-as-usual outputs such astrading performance insight Distribution pricing support and supporting retention of existing business.
  • Challenge and make improvements and efficiencies to processes procedures and documentation.
  • Maintain and test systems and processes (e.g. spreadsheets modelling tools) providing feedback and suggesting improvements.
  • Support projects with analysis clearprogresscommunication and well-reasoned challenges to improve delivery and outcomes.
  • Uphold actuarial controls:identifyand escalate risks ensure data accuracy and help correcterrors to ensure fair treatment of customers.

About you

  • Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently supporting colleagues and contributing positively to groupobjectives.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a critical approach to reviewing both your own and others work ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Possess excellent communication skills including verbal written and listening abilities enabling clear and constructive feedback.
  • Highly numerate with good problem-solving skills applying analytical techniques to deliver robust results.
