MLAHMC Limited is a large Aboriginal community housing management organisation operating across regional remote and very remote NSW. Since 2004 we have supported Aboriginal communities by providing sustainable high-quality housing services and strengthening community wellbeing.
About the Role
We have partnered with MLAHMC to find an experienced Corporate Services Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across human resources ICT governance risk and compliance functions.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team you will work closely with the CEO and Manager of Housing Operations to strengthen corporate governance systems and organisational capability. This role is critical to ensuring MLAHMC meets its statutory and regulatory obligations under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) AHO registration ASIC and the ATO.
You will also lead a small corporate services team and oversee external service providers contributing to sound decision-making through accurate reporting strong systems and effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Governance Risk & Compliance- Lead corporate governance risk and compliance frameworks across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with NRSCH Corporations Act ATO and other regulatory obligations
- Coordinate internal and external audits and oversee implementation of recommendations
- Maintain organisational risk register and support Board reporting
- Corporate Services HR & ICT
- Oversee HR and payroll governance ensuring compliance with Awards and WHS legislation
- Lead ICT strategy and core business systems ensuring security reliability and continuity
- Manage insurance licences registrations and corporate records management
- Support procurement and contract management for corporate services
- Leadership & People Management
- Provide effective supervision and performance management of direct reports
- Foster collaboration cultural safety and professional capability development
- Contribute strategic advice to the CEO and Executive Team
About You:
- Strong understanding of and respect for Aboriginal culture values and community priorities
- Proven experience in governance risk compliance and statutory reporting
- Experience managing HR and ICT systems in small to medium organisations
- Sound knowledge of corporate governance and risk management
- High integrity accountability and professional judgement
- National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified
- Experience in community housing not-for-profit or Aboriginal community-controlled organisations
- Knowledge of AHO funding and compliance frameworks
- Company secretarial experience
