Supporting Seqwater Ventia deliver preventative corrective and reactive maintenance and construction works along with electrical mechanical and instrumental services across its water network. Servicing across 35 water treatment plants 95 pump stations and 26 referable dams.
About the Role
Were seeking a qualified Electrician to deliver minor capital works across multiple sites. This hands-on role involves electrical installations upgrades and commissioning with a focus on safe compliant and high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver minor capital works including electrical installations upgrades and asset replacements across diverse environments
- Interpret electrical drawings specifications and work orders to ensure accurate and compliant execution
- Perform installation and commissioning of electrical systems including switchboards motors instrumentation and control panels
- Supervise onsite contractors and coordinate with other trades to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Travel across designated sites participating in inductions toolbox talks and pre-start meetings
- Adhere to WHS protocols electrical standards and company policies throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and report risks delays or faults and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
**Candidates must be willing to undergo a medical and police check as part of the recruitment process**
About You
- Trade qualification as an Electrician
- QLD Electrical licence
- Experience in construction installation and commissioning
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel
- Instrumentation certificate highly regarded
- EEHA - Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas Electrical (5-year validity) highly regarded
- Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - HLTAID001 (1 year validity) highly regarded
- Low Voltage Rescue and CPR Training UETDRRF004 & HLTAID009 (1 year validity)
- Provide First Aid - HLTAID003 (3-year validity) highly regarded
- Confined Space Entry - RIIWHS202E MSMPER205MSMPER200 (3-year validity)
- Working at Heights - RIIWHS204E (2-year validity)
- Gas test Atmosphere- MSMWHS217 (3-year validity)
