Location: Teaneck NJ 07666
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: MondayFriday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $20$22/hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a busy outpatient cardiology physician practice. This role involves a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare exam and treatment rooms equipment and supplies
Room patients and assist physicians during examinations
Obtain document and update patient vital signs
Perform clinical testing after competency validation including:
EKG
Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
Audiometry
Titmus testing
Conduct UDS BAT phlebotomy and other lab procedures as required
Maintain accurate patient charts and medical records
Assist with billing collections and administrative support as needed
Utilize EMR systems and office software for documentation and scheduling
Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies
Deliver patient-centered care respectful of age culture language and special needs
Perform additional duties as assigned
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift push or pull as required
Required Skills & Experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Proficiency with EMR systems and accurate data entry
Required experience:
Rooming patients
Taking vital signs
EMR usage
Preferred: 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Blood draw experience preferred but not required
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Certifications (Required)
AHA BLS Certification
One of the following Medical Assistant certifications:
CMA (NHA NCCT or AAMA)
RMA (AMT or NAHP)
AMCA
NCMA
