Job Description:
Technical Publications is a unified team of professionals committed to providing quality and timely publication deliverables for commercial and government projects in a dynamic environment. Team members are responsible for gathering composing and editing technical informationto prepare flight manuals maintenance manuals and other technical documentation for our warfighters.
Minimum Active Secret Clearence Required
Essential Functions:
- Authoring and/or Generating content for illustrated parts catalogs maintenance manuals flight operation mission systems and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) documents in an Unstructured/Structured FrameMaker environment or other authoring software for commercial and or Air Force Army or Navy programs.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Position requires Active DoD Secret Clearance or greater at time of hire.
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and customers at varying levels.
- Demonstrated understanding of MS Office Suite and applications.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles reading schematics and/or wiring diagrams.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated working knowledge of ATA iSpec 2200 MIL-PRF-38807C
and MIL-STD-37874. - Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of VIPSAM Mission Systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of 747/757 Boeing airframes and avionics.
- Demonstrated technical publication authoring experience within structured authoring environments to include Unstructured and/or Structured FrameMaker.
- Ability to work within and potentially lead defined budgets and meet schedule deadlines.
