The Role

Interprets federal and state and/or international regulations as they apply to products financial processes and other processes practices and procedures. Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met. Investigates and resolves compliance problems questions or complaints received from other units of the company customers government regulatory agencies etc. May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. May audit and evaluate current policies procedures and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.

The purpose of this position is to support the Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) and/or Property Management System.

Successful candidates will have experience with one or more of the following:
- Interpreting contract requirements and applying to business processes
- Experience with project management
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Profieciency in Mictosoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with external / internal surveillance activities

Must Have

Bachelors Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Masters Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelors Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associates Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing Shipbuilding Trades Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing Shipbuilding Trades Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knoweldge of FAR 52.245-1 and/or DFARS 252.242-7004
- Familiarity with NNS Systems and SAP
- Knowledge of material value stream at NNS
- Material/Asset transfers
- Inventory Record Accuracy
- Excess/Residual Material
