Job Summary

Job Description: Locum Physician - Critical Care

Located in Lima Ohio this facility is an established medical center dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare. The practice includes a 425-bed hospital and an 18-bed closed ICU offering a supportive environment for critical care physicians. Job Responsibilities:

Care for 18-24 critically ill patients in an inpatient setting.
Perform weekend coverage including Friday evening/night call and Saturday/Sunday day rounds.
Supervise and support health care providers involved in teaching IM FM and EM residents.
Manage ventilation procedures: invasive and non-invasive methods.
Perform required medical procedures including central line insertion arterial line insertion and diagnostic taps (paracentesis thoracentesis lumbar puncture).
Utilize Epic as the documentation system for efficient record-keeping.
Collaborate on care plans with fellow critical care physicians and residents.
Engage in a varied practice setting encompassing cardiac neuro trauma medical and surgical cases.

Qualifications:

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Critical Care (Pulmonary or any variation preferred).
Active Ohio State License.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Availability to indicate specific times for work commitments.
COVID vaccination highly preferred.
Flu vaccine required at time of credentialing.

License and Certification Requirements:

Must possess a valid Ohio State Medical License.
Board Certification/Eligibility in Critical Care.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
