Overview
Serves as the focal point for all facilities related matters including buildings and occupancy material handling equipment and vendor management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor key performance indicators and evaluate that material handling equipment is performing according to expectations
- Ensure material handling equipment is maintained and operational at all times
- Ensure robust preventative maintenance system is in place for all material handling and facility equipment
- Coach counsel and manage a team of employees
- Plan and oversee all maintenance and repair work and develop an efficient system for dealing with emergency repair problems
- Order and receive supplies and equipment/parts and maintain necessary facility inventories
- Ability to work independently troubleshoot and make repairs as appropriate
- Ability to work varying hours and shifts as required to maintain operations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent education and related experience or at least 7-10 years related experience in facilities management
- Preferred courses/certifications include:
- OSHA training/certification
- Certified Technical Professional (CTP)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft suites
- Knowledge of safety programs including but not limited to; electrical fire safety IPE and confined spaces
Physical Demands
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking bending reaching standing and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering pushing carrying or pulling up to 50lbs
