As the Water & Septic Coordinator you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the safe efficient and compliant operation of Camp Stephens water and septic systems. This is an active vacancy not a future hiring pool and the successful candidate will make an immediate impact by safeguarding essential infrastructure supporting operational readiness and contributing to a safe and well-run camp environmenthelping ensure Camp Stephens remains a place where individuals and communities continue to Shine On.

HOW youll create Moments that Matter:

You will oversee the safe operation of the camps water and septic systems ensuring compliance with Ontario Regulation 170/03 and all applicable safety and regulatory standards. You will conduct regular inspections of facilities grounds and emergency systems support asset maintenance and fire protection readiness and step into leadership during incidents or emergencies as required. You will also manage documentation logs compliance records and end-of-season reporting to support risk management operational planning and long-term sustainability.

Youll bring:

  • Hands-on experience with water systems septic systems or similar infrastructure including an understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills with the ability to educate staff maintain accurate records and respond effectively in emergency situations.
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety accountability and the Ys mission and values.
  • Required Certifications: Standard First Aid with CPR-C Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) Canadian Camping Association (CCA) marine Module Small Water Systems Manitoba Class 5F License
