Job Description:
- Test and troubleshoot micro-electronics RF subsystems and circuits in compliance with MIL-STD-883.
- Perform precise alignment and calibration of RF circuits and systems.
- Operate and maintain RF test equipment such as network analyzers spectrum analyzers signal generators and power meters.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings schematics and work instructions.
- Document test results maintenance logs and failure reports.
- Support engineering in the design and development of new RF products.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering manufacturing and quality assurance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Work in a clean-room environment.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshooting RF/Analog hardware using legacy and state-of-the-art test equipment
- Solid understanding of RF theory and principles.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT) components.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Work closely with peers and Test Engineers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Work with MS Office Word and Excel applications in support of test / test issues.
- Utilize test software tools such as MATLAB and LabVIEW
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a US Securtiy Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- 5 years of experience working with RF components and systems.
- Solid understanding of RF theory and principles.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Proficient in using RF test equipment and tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 testing and requirements.
- Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT) components.
- Certification in IPC J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610.
- Working knowledge of the Keysight PNAx or similar network analyzer
- Experience with automated RF test systems and software.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York is $26.44/hr- $49.27/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
