JOB SUMMARY
Provides support for county programs at the middle school and high school levels. Maintains complete contract management for coaches. Works with schools athletic managers athletic directors and school administration on creating and tracking coach rosters for all sports to ensure coaches have all required certifications to coach. Works with Human Resources for coach hiring ensuring all new coaches have proper processing entering coach positions into the Advantage HR system and contract creation. Generates coach paysheets and submit to Payroll to be paid at the end of each season. May travel to school sites for meetings deliveries /pickups and to support activities and events (sometimes after normal work hours).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates issues and manages contracts for coaches and intramural club advisors at high middle and special schools.
- Tracks processes and initiates pay and computes pro-rated pay for coaches and club advisors.
- Collects data and creates and maintains records for schools.
- Ensures compliance of Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) guidelines.
- Develops and maintains guidelines for extra-curricular activities and distribute annually.
- Maintains coaching roster for each sport by season and rosters for all clubs and activities.
- Prepares letters correspondence and reports.
- Acts as a resource for athletic directors and administrators for coaching and extracurricular contracts.
- Participates in and presents at monthly meetings events professional development and summer session weeks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education
- Associates Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience
- Three (3) years administrative office experience required;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

- Excellent public relations interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to ensure accurate payment to recipients.
- Ability to develop charts and graphs.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSA) guidelines.
- Knowledge of the countys high school and middle school athletic programs. Knowledge of payroll and Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Experience working under time restraints and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with business software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite-Word Excel Outlook and/or PowerPoint preferred). For new permanent secretarial/clerical/technician hires a minimum score on a pre-employment assessment is required.
Licenses and Certifications
Employee must retain active licenses certifications and enrollment as a condition of employment.
- Hold or be eligible for Drivers License (DL) Class C Non-Commercial issued by Maryland or State of Legal Residence (MVA/DMV) required; and
- Daily access to reliable transportation.
Driving Requirements
- Driving is required to conduct bona fide Board business that is within the scope of employment in this position.
