Job Summary

Job Purpose

   The Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) will work closely with cross functional teams across regions spanning from Product Groups Engineering (apps design product/test quality) Sales FAE as well as key Customer supplier quality management teams located in Taiwan.

   The primary responsibilities include addressing customer quality-related inquiries and data requests managing customer portal inputs conducting quality review meetings to improve scorecard ratings and coordinating with global Renesas teams to drive end to end customer FA/8D requirements containment root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

   Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand their expectations and collaborate with internal teams to fulfill them effectively.

   Work closely with the SQE OSAT teams to support customer audit requirements including annual audits and 8D action follow up.

Job Description

  Strong verbal and written English communication skills to effectively interact and communicate with teams primarily in but not limited to United States and Malaysia.

  Excellent project management and problem solving abilities with strong ownership in driving actions to closure.

  Proficient in quality systems and tools (e.g. 8D methodology) with prior experience understanding both U.S. and Taiwan customer expectations and working styles. SMT line working experience is preferred.

 Broad knowledge of IC manufacturing and testing processes with the capability to interpret FA reports and ATE/bench test data.

 Support BU/PG Sales and Distributors in defining and executing RMA strategies and follow up proactively to prevent customer quality issues or potential line down risks.

 Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.

 Serve as a direct customer interface with solid CQE expertise to analyze and resolve quality issues and concerns promptly.


Qualifications :

  • 10 years experience Education of BS in EE engineering or equivalent. Strong English verbal and written communication is required. 
  • Strong Quality mindset and problem-solving skills to generate 8D report presentations for customer and management summary.
  • Experience in Quality methodologies and activity. Solid understanding of semiconductor/IC and PCBA/SMT manufacturing processes.
