As the Wellness Coordinator you will play a critical leadership role in supporting the health safety and well-being of campers and staff. HOW youll create Moments that Matter:
You will oversee all aspects of camper and staff health and wellness providing first aid medical care and emergency response while ensuring a safe and healthy camp environment. You will lead and support the Assistant Wellness Coordinator educate staff and campers on wellness topics and collaborate closely with camp leadership during emergencies and evolving health situations. You will also manage wellness operations and documentation including medication administration incident reporting and health records to ensure compliance continuity of care and continuous improvement.
Youll bring:
- Advanced first aid training or relevant healthcare experience (e.g. nursing paramedic or similar) with the ability to assess medical concerns and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills with experience mentoring staff and promoting a culture of health safety and well-being.
- A demonstrated commitment to inclusion safeguarding and child- and youth-centred practices aligned with the Ys mission and values.
- Required Certifications: Standard First Aid with CPR-C Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Valid Manitoba Class 5F Drivers License
